Running as not root?

Hi,

Probably something obvious, but not to me :-(

I am running the vlc tagged image and want to run Agent as a particular user. At the moment, all recordings are created with root:root ownership which makes them harder to manage.

I am running portainer and I thought that I could specify "User" under the "Command & logging" tab but that does not seem to work well:

I have a user "cctv" with UID 1004. If I use 1004 as the user then the container creates ok but all permission errors occur:

Unhandled exception. Any thoughts on how to do this without a lot of pain?

The image is unfortunately only available as root at the moment. There was some effort to run it as a non root. You may look into different branches and try it out if you'd like. If you do get it working let me know and I can include changes.
