Use-case: I have a paged page on my site which has a higher than default priority on the sitemap.xml. Subsequent pages of this page should not retain thigh high priority and should instead use the default value.

This makes sense, but it should probably be something that is configurable - some people won't want their paginated pages to show up at all, whereas others might want them at a lower priority than the default. I'll see if I can add something like this to either the paged or sitemap plugin.
