Just installed on new Apple M3 Pro, 36GB, macOS Sequoia 15.0.1 (24A348). I can get the app to run (after mucking around in the settings to allow me to run it), I can see it in the top bar but it's not working. I tried changing the modifier keys but can never get move or resize to work. Is this a known issue? Is there some way I can debug? I granted it a bunch of permissions as it ran the first time.

Is this related to Sequoia? I just upgraded to Sequoia and this app stopped working :(

I didn't have any issues with Sequoia related to easy-move-resize. Both 15.0 and latest 15.1. For other issues I had to setup a new user though. I use ALT as modifier key and I also use middle click for resize.

I use resize with mouse only, never figured how to use with touchpad. @jjpepper were you using mouse or touchpad?

@jjpepper something changed over the last couple years and more and more applications can't be moved with easy-move-resize. I'm using kitty for terminal and last version where move/resize worked was 0.25.2.

For moving windows only, there is this macos native functionality:

enable

defaults write -g NSWindowShouldDragOnGesture -bool true

disable

defaults delete -g NSWindowShouldDragOnGesture

relogin/restart after changing. You should be able to move windows with ctrl+command and click if I'm not mistaken. This should work for almost all windows.

Using same modifier may be a problem, otherwise they can work in parallel. I use 'option' key for easy-resize-move modifier, native one uses 'ctrl' + 'cmd'.

I guess I now have muscle memory to use the right modifier key for moving depending on which window supports which :)
