This repository contains the material regarding the hands-on tutorial on DKPro Core: https://dkpro.github.io/dkpro-core/ All the material presented here is an adaptation of previous tutorials, the GSCL tutorial given in 2013 at the Technische Universität Darmstadt and the DKPro Core tutorial given at the Deutsches Institut für Internationale Pädagogische Forschung in 2013. In order to run the code from this tutorial, you need to have the following installed in your workstation:
- Eclipse
- m2e plugin installed in Eclipse: http://www.eclipse.org/m2e/
- UIMA Eclipse plugins: http://uima.apache.org/downloads.cgi
- Use the following update site: http://www.apache.org/dist/uima/eclipse-update-site/
- Select the following software: Apache UIMA Eclipse tooling and runtime support
- GitHub: https://help.github.com/articles/set-up-git/
- Internet connection
The loading of the dependencies might take some time, so be prepared to spend some minutes waiting eclipse to update the maven preferences of your project.
A video tutorial on running DKPro Core using groovy. Two important points about this video-tutorial since it is out of date: 1. DKPro Core is on GitHub, not on google code anymore; 2. The newest version is 1.7.0, not 1.6.2.
