problems deleting large numbers of events

I am running into issues when deleting large numbers of events (45,000); I have yet to have the operation complete even after waiting for several hours. Eventually the process either just hangs or crashes.

Server is a 2.8Ghz Xeon with 2GB of RAM

@C4T4LYST - This is a design issue with Snorby >= 1.1.3. I have a working solution for 2.0 that should fix this issue.

Is there any workaround until 2.0 comes out?

@urbanpt You can jump into the console and run: Event.delete_all to remove all events.

Can you specify where you mean when you say "console"? I too am having issues removing a large number of events.
