Hey I just wanted to say this is the best world building tool I have come across. It's simple enough for anyone to understand and that removes any dsitraction or learning curve. I've not come across any other tools that do all the things this software has the potential to do. Which begs the question, why has there been no progress?

Truly this is a piece of software that can compete with any of the top wiki or world building tools if it's given the time. I believe it has the potential to be better than anything that exists right now. So what happened?

The main reason (which I've mentioned elsewhere) is that I'm busy working on a game and that's taking up all my time. The main reason I haven't shown it off anywhere or told people about it more widely is because I don't have time to flesh it out and make it as extensible and open ended as I want yet (See #1 for more info on that, that's the long term plan).

If anyone wants to do code cleanup and work on the dynamic section/category part of the project, I'm happy to accept pull requests. Other than that, my time is going toward the game at the moment since that will hopefully get me some money. Once I achieve ultimate financial independence (or get burnt out enough to need a major distraction for a few weeks), I'll definitely be returning to WorldMuncher and adding the dynamic components.

That said the current version works and I intend to keep saves backward compatible for the new version so if the features available in it currently work for people, go ahead and use it. Bugs will be fixed if any are reported. The project is still active, it's just a thing I have the free time to work on.

Would investment encourage development?

At the moment, no. If there was increased interest (from users or devs), I'd definitely give more time to the project.

I will say that when I'm done with my current game milestone I'll probably be able to give it some time. That's probably gonna be a few months though since I'm doing a bunch of writing and systems work.

I am interested in investing capital in this project. Get in touch when you've finished your game.

I'll definitely let you know when I'm at a spot I can work on the software. Also, I'll leave this issue open for anyone else who wants to come in and let me know they'd like to see work done on WorldMuncher.
