The default volume is 80%

Please clarify "too loud".

  • Were you using headphones or speakers?
  • Was the volume on your speakers adjustable?
    • Was the volume on your speakers too high?
  • Was the volume loud enough to cause distortion or peaking?
    • Does the audio peak & distort when the speakers are at low volume?
    • Does the audio peak & distort on your speakers when playing from another source at full volume?
  • Was the volume uncomfortable for headphones?
    • Is there peaking and distortion through headphones?

I was using the headphone. The volume was set to mid level and was working properly at previous power cycle. It was so loud injuring my eardrum.
