Alarm & Buzzer Support

Hi there,

thanks for the effort. Much appreciated.

I got one of these 16x16 screens recently. Happy to test and contribute to this project.

The roadmap does not list the alarm and buzzer support...

Is this planned or to be added ?

The buzzer particularly is key to notify about incoming messages, or alarms etc.

Hi Greg,

didn't noticed that feature inside the app. You could add this feature if you want. If you have some more insight on what to do, I could also add it.

The offical app has an alarm clock function, this is also documented in the booklet.
This allows setting an alarm, based on hour, day, weekday, reoccurrence etc.
The alarm can trigger a buzzer, a simple beep sound coming from the display housing.. yes.
You can choose the duration of the sound in the official app.
Maybe even possible to adjust the frequency, but it maybe just a beeper.

Just got the unit very recently so will look into it, but the official apk should contain the expected behaviour when triggered.

Maybe needs some work...just putting it out there..

Thanks for clarification. I will look this up in the official apk. Unfortunately I do not have the booklet anymore. Not really into reading papers. But maybe I should have done that ;)
