Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

In some environments there is an existing LDAP/AD server that contains the source of truth for users.

Describe the solution you'd like

  • Given an environment with an existing LDAP/AD server
  • When UDS Core is installed with configuration specified to sync users with the LDAP/AD server
  • Then The uds realm is imported with an LDAP/AD initial sync (and optional periodic sync)

Describe alternatives you've considered

  • We've considered that this might be out of scope for uds-identity-config and perhaps leave this to integrator to configure on their own.
  • Provide documentation on how to configure user federation within UDS Core, perhaps with supporting automation (either scripts or terraform)
