Starting the discussion around development scope for GR12

Protocol Development

• Change metaPtr storage to use a Tuple of type (uint type, bytes metaPtr), where type (better name?) is a enumerated code, which will be defined as part of the dgrants protocol standard, for the type of metaPtr in use. To start, support only a single type, ipfs, which implies the metaPtr bytes are an IPFS CID. Mappings from uint type to protocol info will live in their own repository
• Separate out a separate javascript library package dgrants-js and begin extracting dgrants protocol interactions into this library, perhaps starting just with the metaPtr fetching described above. This is primarily to establish a pattern. The dgrants-js package should be an independent package from the dcurve package

• Show contributions to Grant Round i.e. merge Emit events for pool payouts and contributions #367 and associated frontend changes
  • Make sure to coordinate with @scco to incorporate his generalized contributions list component
• User data pages
  • My Contributions page
  • My Grants Page (needs to show grant status: pending vs. approved via whitelist; stretch: showing the user if it's been declined)
• GTC for matching token— would require getting liquidity pools for GTC setup on Polygon

Performance / Reliability

• Extremely long initial load times on page— how can we reduce these?
  • Frontend optimizations?
  • Adding a caching/proxy server of some kind?
  • Using The Graph more heavily?
  • Upgrading The Graph to a paid tier?
  • Using/paying for faster RPC node when user is not connected
  • Increasing performance of Fleek/Polygon (see below)
• Fleek loading speeds and timeouts
  • Talk to Fleek team, make sure we're setup with a paid premium account that will give us good speeds, make sure they're ready for influx of users during GR12
  • Explore backup/alternative IPFS endpoint in case of failures
• Polygon RPC endpoint performance
  • Similarly, talk to Polygon team, make sure we're doing all we can to have good performance, also potentially explore backups or self hosted options
• Setup an uptime monitoring service of some kind?
• Automated smoke tests that pages load with expected data?
