Currently, DazToBlender plugin does not automatically install on Blender 4.0 and above. Automatic support for 4.0 and 4.1 will be added in a later update.

Here are the steps needed for manual installation for any version of Blender:

  1. Install the latest version of DazToBlender.
  2. In Daz Studio, click File -> Send To -> Daz To Blender. The Daz To Blender dialog window should pop up.
  3. In the DazToBlender dialog window, check the "Advanced Settings" checkbox to open the Advanced Settings section.
  4. Find the "Blender Plugin Installer" drop-down box and select "Custom Addon Path".
  5. Click "Install Plugin". A popup window should appear for you to select a Blender "scripts" folder.
  6. The popup window should open automatically to the user's "AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender" file path. If it does not, manually navigate to this folder, example: "C:\Users<username>\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender"
  7. Double-click the folder with the desired version number, example: "4.0"
  8. Inside this folder, select the "scripts" folder. If this folder does not exist, create it by clicking "New Folder" in the tool bar of the popup window. Then rename the new folder to "scripts".
  9. With the "scripts" folder selected, click the "Select Folder" button.
  10. You should see a popup message stating that "Blender Plugin successfully installed to:" the selected "scripts" folder.
