@rgrp well either the Federal Register API (https://www.federalregister.gov/api/v1/agencies) or the GSA API (http://www.usa.gov/About/developer-resources/federal-agency-directory/index.shtml) will do. I'll try and pair down the GSA json this week since the Federal Register json mostly contains links to the article feed there.
