To build the standalone version, just type:
mvn clean package
the fully standalone runner with all of the dependencies packaged up and ready to use is in the target folder.
java -Dlog4j.configuration=file:///Path/to/your/log4j.xml -jar standalone-1.1-SNAPSHOT.jar
