APP Servers:

  • provision 3 new VMs
  • request new SSL certs containing ALL app names, derivatives, FQDNs
    (newcatalog, search, bestbets, holdings, etc.)
  • make sure search redirect is in place
  • provision bestbets LB
  • SSL across the board
  • insert new VMs into LB rotation
  • expire old VMs one by one
  • decommission old VMs
  • upgrade redis to cheapest HA option
  • add CUWebAuth to bestbets

SOLR:

  • provision solr VMs
  • provision solr LB
  • solr 4.2
  • copy pubkey from ~jenkins user on lib-solr-002 to ~tomcat on new solr VMs
  • work with @FrancesWebb to get data populated
  • test/review access control (from new VMs to solr boxes)

I think the only thing needed to load balance bestbets is to point the DNS name at the load balanced IP (assuming all 3 servers are set up to host it properly).
