The latest version of pyvirtualcam has dropped support for OBS-VirtualCam and replaced it with supporting the new built-in virtual camera of OBS. See also letmaik/pyvirtualcam#25 for the reasoning behind this.
Since your repo is based on installing OBS-VirtualCam it would make sense to change this to link to the installation instructions of pyvirtualcam instead: https://github.com/letmaik/pyvirtualcam#supported-virtual-cameras. If you have any suggestions on how to improve the getting started flow, please open an issue in the pyvirtualcam repo. Thanks!
