Rationale

Highlighting search terms will help all users, especially those with visual impairments, quickly find relevant information in collection images.

Outcomes

  • Improved Content Discovery

Users can easily locate specific information by entering search terms, with highlighted results allowing for quick identification of relevant sections within documents or images. Users conducting literature reviews or research can quickly pinpoint relevant passages, saving time and enhancing productivity.

  • Better Usability

A user-friendly interface allows for easy entry of search terms, with highlighted results displayed prominently for immediate visibility. Clear visual cues indicate where terms appear within the text or images, reducing cognitive load and enhancing navigation. Highlighted search terms are designed with accessibility in mind, including options for color contrast and text size adjustments to assist users with visual impairments. Screen reader compatibility ensures that highlighted terms can be announced, providing an inclusive experience for all users.
