Problem

Local Setup

Description

Having gone through many installation errors while setting up the project on my local machine using windows CLI, I realize there is a need to include some pointer errors developers might face while setting up Jekyll on windows and propose relevant solutions to the problems. I want to contribute to the readme file by stating the Jekyll windows installation guide and ease the burden while installing the project on the /windows operating system.

Alternatives

Adding a step-by-step brief guide for setting up Jekyll on windows, including some error messages and the solution on resolving the error using the window CLI or git bash.

Implementation

  • I would be interested in implementing this feature.

Any solution here would need to take advantage of Docker, rather than setting up a new local environment outside of that.

We should provide more clarification. If changes are needed to the Docker setup itself that should be a separate Issue that might be necessary before proceeding with this one.
