An official recipe is available for electron ID here: https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/CMS/CutBasedElectronIdentificationRun2#Recipe_for_regular_users_for_74X

Unfortunately, it needs to run on MiniAOD. Look if we can extract the relevant bit and do the selection manually or if we have to run someting on top of MiniAOD.
