The code uses the the _bleio library. There might be some advantages to using the adafruit_ble library and the maybe the adafruit_bluefruit_connect library. This might be resistant to changes in _bleio, might be simpler (?), and might enable use of the Nordic uart service and an iOS current time service—maybe even use of the Adafruit Bluefruit Connect app.
