Update to amazonlinux:2023 or latest

Hey all,

Is there a plan to migrate amazonlinux base image from tag 2 to latest/2023? Is there a schedule or a plan? Couldn't find one :-)

I'd be interested in this as well. We have a project that starts in production in November 2023 and would like to know what's the best version to start with.

Hi, the plan and timeline is being reviewed internally and will be published once approved.

@zmezei-dpc if you are starting a project not, I recommend you use the AL2023 based images. Those tags will always be available and give you a stable platform to work on for the next few years.
