This is more an observation / hypothesis at the moment: However, if I pause and restart the simulation in the Gazebo client, the status of the RTTGazeboEmbedded component is not set to running again. Furthermore, we should check whether it is possible to control the update steps from within the client through the respective interactive functions.

  • Start/Stop Gazebo in the GUI triggers an event that now also executed the corresponding behavior on the RTT component itself and vice versa.
  • In order to use the step-functionality of Gazebo, further investigation is needed
