Insertion by right arrow key does *not* fire any events

Suggestions can be inserted by pressing the right arrow key. The text will appear in the <input> box, but:

Neither typeahead's select event nor the input box's original change event is fired. Makes it impossible to handle such a change of the value.

Insertion by right arrow key seems to be hit or miss in general. Sometimes it does insert something, sometimes the inserted text disappears after a few milliseconds or so.

It also seems like the text is somehow “floating” on top of the box, but not even the box's actual value.
