matrix = agg_weights_df.pivot(col_pre, col_post, weight_col)

error:
TypeError: DataFrame.pivot() takes 1 positional argument but 4 were given

suggest fix
matrix = agg_weights_df.pivot(index= col_pre, columns= col_post, values= weight_col)
