Access attributes of an object by clicking on it

Feature Request

It would be useful to access the attributes of an object (e.g., an edge) by clicking on it in the screen.

I know that this function is available to access the objects in a list but this gets hard to use when many objects are available (hard to select the right edge from a list with 100 edges).
