Add git version information to the resources

Thanks to @lefou, here is my code that creates a gitVersion file in the projects resources, containing the output of git describe …:

  os.proc("git", "describe", "--always", "--tags", "--dirty=+").call(cwd = T.workspace).out.text()
}

def gitVersionFileResourceDir = T {
  val dest = T.dest / "net.example" / "gitVersion"
  os.write(dest, gitVersion(), createFolders = true)
  PathRef(T.dest)
}

override def resources = T.sources { super.resources() :+ gitVersionFileResourceDir() }

The content of the file can then consumed in the project via

val gitVersion: String = scala.io.Source.fromResource("net.example/gitVersion").getLines.next
