Images in dark mode

Hey Colin,

how can I enable the dark mode to show dark mode images? I have two versions of my image, a light and a dark mode one. To insert an image, I am either using plain markdown or the <figure> HTML tag. But I am not sure how to tell the theme to use the dark mode image when dark mode is enabled.

I was thinking of adding a shortcode. something around this

however, I am not sure what condition I could use to know that someone toggled dark or light mode. this here does not work as I am currently just using a setting in the toml file and not what the user toggled.
