I tried PrBoom-plus on my PC (ArchLinux), but when I started it with any WAD, there was no sound, then I open the menu, and the SFX for the menu is repeating indefinitely, then when I move the cursor, the SFX gets added to the loop, etc. I found that SDL was the issue and I changed to FluidSynth. But the wierd this is that, it doesn't happen on my Laptop (Fedora), I can use SDL normally and the sound is better. I then tested with standard PrBoom, there is no repeating SFX glitch, but no music.
I don't understand what's happening but I would love to use SDL
