I noticed that one of the lessons requested in US (by US geographical survey) specified for GitLab as "they may be required to use GitLab. " I am not sure whether this is a trend. Just let you know.

I think it is way too much work and too short notice to add GitLab for the workshop starting this week. I recommend to work on this after the workshop.
