Once again, thanks and congratulations for everyone's hard work making a great workshop happen!
We should do a "retro" (retrospective) on yesterday's awesome workshop. I'll collect some thoughts and TODOs here for us to maybe discuss. Feel free to edit this ticket directly to add to the list.
those talks were so good! :D
Bug reports for Maria dot cloud should go in a ticket on that repo, and ideas/issues with the Maria curriculum should be emailed to me (first last gmail). If you will submit something about the curriculum, please see the Curriculum Roadmap for what we're already planning.
Installfest
we should combine the "wifi" slide and the "install instructions" slide
Nightcode wants the Java JDK, not the JRE that it links you to! #endlessscreaming
morning slide for coaches has a broken emoji (it "split" because some systems don't do combo-emojis like white-flag-plus-rainbow)
I totally left a "TODO" at the top of the morning talks slide. Mea culpa.
all references to Wunderlist should become Microsoft
I personally felt I lacked conversation topics for the morning before our group dived into Clojure material. I'd like to do better on this next time.
I meant to get this URL about running Clojure directly from the command line to one of my students, but I dropped the ball on getting contact info. Maybe we can pass it along somehow, if she doesn't come to study group, which is of course ideal anyway because then we could explore lumo and REPL-based interaction for data science.

thanks for starting this ticket @daveliepmann 🙏 ✨
will add more notes later, some quick braindump of possible improvements for now
i'd like us to get all printouts, name badges, lanyards, prezo slides etc ready 1-2 days before. those little things eat up time & stress us out if they have to be done last minute
some coaches pairings were not ideal --- e.g. 2 first-time coaches together
make sure speakers understand audience are first-time-programmers -- i felt parts of the talks were more directed at people already in the tech industry
Once again, thanks and congratulations for everyone's hard work making a great workshop happen!
