Feature Request: Email & Tentative Purchase on Unknown Barcode Scan #54

When an unknown barcode is scanned, we should:

  1. Send an e-mail to the chez-bob list

  2. Provide an option to return the purchase (related to the issue about cancelling erroneous purchases) or keep the purchase with an unknown barcode, and notify the user that they will be charged some amount.

Q: How would users feel about "being charged at a later date"?

  1. Is now addressed by some internal slack notifications.

  2. Is still valid, but is a big one, and in general folks aren't taking things that don't scan.
