Hello
Thank you for this amazing package!
Would it be possible to add an option to include the number of the compound into the brackets, eg. name (number, mass, ...) as opposed to the current behaviour: name number (mass, ...)?

If I understand you correctly, you would like to achieve the following output
rather than this default one:
What is supposed to happen in cases in which only the number is displayed and the name of the compound is omitted?
I have never seen this particular style being used in a journal. Do you have some links to example papers or journal style guides that you could share with me?
Yes, this is exactly what I mean!
I think it would be fine to just not display the name if none is given. Even though this would probably be quite strange, enabling this hypothetical layout and not giving a name would probably be a niche case, where somebody knows what he is doing.
Also this behaviour would be quite intuitive in my opinion.
I could not quickly find any paper/journal using this style.
The reason I request this ist that my university requires this style for practical protocols.
I would definately understand if that is not enough reason for you to implement this.
