After our discussion on 2/2/15 there were some revisions that needed to be made to the filter. The following is a list of feedback:
A field for "data type" should be added containing: issue, wiki, read me, and pages. This could also just have two options issues and documentation to simplify
Using the label documentation to represent wikis, read me, and pages might be confusing for users.
Users should be able to filter by author and assigned to
All data types and sources should be shown on default. Most filters will be reductive (not additive).

Filtered Results
After a user has made a search and chosen to filter the results the "apply filters" button should be clicked before results are updated. To save vertical space and signal to user that the results have been filtered, the filter section should be collapsed and "results for" text will opulate the top of the feed with labels for the chosen filters.
