ARC4 file keeping

On ARC4, you can run a cronjob to touch all your files that you wish to protect from automatic deletion

To open your crontab file type:

crontab -e

fill it in with the following text

#Crontab file for Nobackup Directory for user (username = $USER)
# SHELL=/bin/bash
# MAILTO=$user
#-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
#Min   Hour   Day     Month   Weekday Command
#-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
00      01     07       *       *    /bin/find /nobackup/$USER -exec /bin/touch -ah {} \;

This runs the touch command on the files in /nobackup/$USER every 7th day (Sunday) at 0100 hours. This will only change the file access times not modified times
