add dynamic map to visualize database information #192
Comments
Hi Min, and thanks for the good work. The map appears to be functioning well. In terms of the style, however, would it be possible to change the map in order to use the hi-res version of this one instead? I ask because I prefer how it shows country borders (level of detail; particularly important for countries like Indonesia). I also prefer the navigation elements and rounded borders. Hopefully this implementing this request wouldn't require you to start everything over from scratch. If such is the case, please let me know. Even if it does require some extra work, the investment is worth it to me. Also, I see you've embedded a map in our page listing [CCCS experience by IFC sector]. You are correct that this is our target for implementing the 'A chart' style visualization under issue #193. Could you also add in a map for this page listing CCCS experience by IFC performance standard? Thanks for your terrific work! |
While we're still working on this topic, I will add in a few links of interesting concepts for future consideration: |
We're getting pretty far in refining our project database. It's time to begin improving how we show that information off.
As a first step, I would like to add a map to the top of this page, presenting the project 'counts' (currently listed) as a "heat map" (something reflecting different 'intensities' of CCCS activity in a given country).
There's a picture showing one possible approach, here:

... of course, this is a paid template; i believe I have seen other free ones out there...
