It could be interesting to develop a new tool in lisflood-utilities that finds the child reservoir (or station). By child I mean the reservoir (station) downstream.
This would allow to trace the influence of one reservoir on another, and to quickly identify headwater reservoirs (those that are not children of any other reservoir).
