GetFeature, first query click doesn't trigger the query

only visible when using the getFeature tool in the toolbar!

to reproduce:

refresh
enable a layer with some data (Equipement > game area)
zoom to the area with the data
enable the query tool in the toolbar
click on the map once
nothing happen

click one the map a second time
the query is triggered

expected:
the first click should trigger the query

this problem can not be reproduced when NOT using the query tool in the toolbar (i.e. directly clicking on the map without using the query tool button)

for some unkown reason, the function getInfoForClick in OpenLayers.Control.WMSGetFeatureInfo is not getting called on the first click
