<th>Description</th>
<th>Technologies</th>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>HBO Go</td>
<td>HBO GO was a project for the central European branch of HBO, to deliver a High Definition video streaming portal to Hungary, Poland, Romania and the Adriatic region. The entire solution consisted of a geo-ip restricted web portal to provide subscribers with access to adaptive streaming video, as well as authentication web services, private content delivery network, and administrative web sites. Video content was protected with PlayReady DRM and we had to work closely with Microsoft under NDA as early technology adopters. <br/> I was personally responsible for the technical delivery of the entire solution and worked with a team developers, designers and engineers to produce an amazing ecosystem of sites and services. We delivered consistently on time and built a high level of trust with our client. I was personally involved with all technical aspects of the build, particularly the client UX build and player, progressive enhancement of user interfaces and 'ajaxifying' the administrative site.</td>
<td>ASP.NET MVC, HTML5, Silverlight(+Smooth Stream +PlayReady), WCF Web Services</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>GSK Benlysta</td>
<td>GSK regularly engage their medical professional with updates on new drugs, and we were involved in live webcast events to facilitate this. My collegue and I built the site and worked with our in-house video production team to deliver streamed content to a secure audience. There was a key requirement that the information involved was highly sensitive, so stringent security tests needed to be made. Additionally because the event was live there were frequent changes that the client wanted to make, so I was personally involved in managing the requests and working with the client to deliver a reliable solution, that also met their needs.
<td>HTML, streaming video</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>National Grid Visitor Centre</td>
<td>As part of a public educational visitor centre, we built a multi-user, touch screen quiz, where players could compete against each other by answering questions about energy efficency, affordability and security. With a small team consisting of myself, another developer and a designer we put together a rich, interactive experience in three weeks. The client was extremely impressed with the quality of the result.We chose to build the client application in WPF with MVVM architecture, to allow flexibility and designer lead changes to the UX. For the server implementation we used WCF services to expose a clean service application on top of our domain model for the game.</td>
<td>WPF/XAML, WCF, Networking, </td>
<tr>
<td>Volkswagen</td>
<td>In my time at Twofour I have been involved in maintaining Volkswagen's Business Forum, an extranet site to engage retailers and managers. Changes were frequently short notice and had to be delivered rapidly.</td>
<td>ASP.NET</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>Europarl TV</td>
<td>For the European Parliament we were asked to provide a video streaming web site that the European Parliament could publish regular updates about critical issues and news. I was lead developer for the early prototype phase and eventually team leader for the first release of the site. The solution included CMS and administrative control, as well as video processing and scheduling.</td>
<td>ASP.NET, streaming video</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>BBC Coyopa</td>
<td>To provide an audio catch-up service, the BBC commissioned us to produce a live to download transcode service. The system had to be robust and reliable and capable of delivering audio despite critical failure. The final installation ran on a pair of isolated server farms, each containing 160 blades. The system received metadata and live audio or uncompressed audio and output formats suitable for internet listeners.</td>
<td>Windows Services, C#, MSMQ</td>
