There is a bug in the auto-update process.

Some people, depending on the speed of the computer, can get around this by simply right-clicking and quitting the application. The window of time where this works will be smaller on faster computers.

If the auto-update process seems to stall, downloading and running the installer should work https://github.com/brianpetro/smart-connect?tab=readme-ov-file#install
