There are currently 21 unreleased commits: https://github.com/natemoo-re/clack/compare/@clack/[email protected]

Please release a new version, I'd like to use p.tasks()

+1 Please add the unreleased commits to make this even better.
Even small updates would be nice to still show that this project is not abandoned

My guess he's just busy with astro

Any good alternatives?

That's likely, and understandable! However, it would be a pity to see behind this project go to waste. When possible, I always find it more impressive when the community comes together and finds a way to collectively take an OSS project to the next level, rather than forking/creating clones with very little difference.

@natemoo-re I'm sorry for the ping, I'm assuming you're very busy with professional (or personal) stuff. Thank you for the work you've put in behind clack, it's a very promising tool. As it's been pointed out in other issues, some of us are wondering about the current status of this project.

  • Can we expect more releases to come?
  • Would you be open to welcoming more editors/admins in your project to keep it alive?
  • Or should we consider it as having reached EOL status and clone/fork it?

Any answer is 100% ok, thanks again for the work behind this, OSS is incredibly demanding 🫶
Take care!

Thanks for the ping! I agree that Clack is incredibly promising, and I'm sorry for the silence for such a long time.

I've been incredibly busy with Astro maintenance lately, but I am actually in the process of scaling back my involvement there to focus on Clack and other tooling for CLIs.

I appreciate everyone's patience here! I'll be back to managing new releases this summer, scaling up additional maintainers so I am no longer a blocker on decisions, and working on docs while pushing this project to a v1 state.

That's awesome to hear! We're all looking forward to the v1 :)
Feel free to reach out to the community if you need help for larger features, small fixes, or even documentation work; I'm assuming some of us will be glad to help.

Cheers

Sorry it took longer than I expected but I'm back! @clack/[email protected] was released this morning and I'm using the holidays to get through the PR and issue backlog.

To all the lovely folks who have offered to help with maintenance, I'd to see you in our official Discord! We have a #contribute channel to discuss maintenance, triage, and enhancements.

Will keep this issue open + pinned for a bit until released get back to a steady cadance!
