Several themes have added an Alert feature where you can easily add an Alert to the top of the home page. Would love to see that in Elegance...perhaps just above marketing spots...

Ah yes. Sounds like a nice idea!
Thanks for reporting and I'll probably work on this and other features early next week.

Have changed planning for this a bit. First I am focussing on getting all of the current features working good enough to be able to release a stable version for 3.0. Then I'll be working on new features like this one. So not closing, just changing priorities :)
