Eventually support VBR (Variable bitrate) or CBR (Constant bitrate) and set bitrates (max for VBR and the constant bitrate for CBR). The driver will then adjust quantization to meet those demands set by the user.
This is noted from 2 years ago... Has this happened? I would like to have the same feature available for the BC-H16480A-REV2 16-port 150 fps h.264 card I have for testing.
Currently we have quantization setting, effectively enabling user to manage quality (and, indirectly, bitrate): b6a9568
We will check whether VBR and CBR modes are possible with reasonable amount of efforts and with the only hardware mechanism we have: quantization parameter setting.
