Apparently this is because version mismatch between gtk3 and wayland..

Though still old bug and user reported it being fixed with gtk+(3.16.3) wayland(1.7.92)

And we are using extra/gtk3 3.16.6-1 and wayland 1.8.1-1 which should work.. but meh.. I will pester Arch Linux packagers about this..

Fixed in 9d90721

This will ensure that gtk3 apps will use x11 backend instead of wayland backend
