Need to test this to ensure it's correct. Maybe write some automated tests for it too (if I haven't already?)

The most obvious change is returning irods_authentication_scheme as pam_password instead of PAM, but I'll need to double-check there isn't other critical stuff.

Confirmed to be working in dev. I'll still test this in staging before confirming and closing the issue.
