I'm curious if you can explain the stats page a little better in regards to the ratings system.

In particular:
RATED, RATED TRENDING, RATED HIGHEST REPORTED, PROVISIONAL and PROVISIONAL HIGHEST REPORTED.

For example, right now there's 488 "RATED" as Platinum but there's also 559 "RATED TRENDING" as Platinum.

Care to explain what the differences are exactly and how that works? I feel this could be cleared up on the stats page too.

hi @LiamDawe ... i agree the current presentation of that data is not great right now. especially on the home page where it's condensed at the expense of clarity.

for your specific question on the stats page, the higher quantity for platinum in 'rated trending' indicates that if the trending score is used instead of the overall score, 559 games would be platinum instead of 499, which indicates roughly that recent scores are higher than overall ones. a trending score is currently weighted (mostly) by measuring only the most recent third of reports.

hope that answers your question, feel to free to ask further if not.

Do you think for the stats page, a little dropdown FAQ might help to include simple explanations like this? I think it would go a long way :)

So 500 are now platinum (wow) with more trending towards it, impressive.

Thanks for the effort.
