Use the MODIS API to grab the last 7 days of hotspot data for BC (to account for potential cloud cover)
Data can be stored Postgres database or object storage, decision may be affected by how we want to look it up for analysis
Cronjob to run at desired time and interval (TBD) to store in (database/object storage, also TBD)

Pull the 48 hrs and refresh at 0400

  • MODIS 1km
  • Could also pull the VIIRS NOAA-20 [375 m] data for higher resolution according to Ben
