I would like to know what exactly the VRAM LIMIT is for, since I have had problems lately with that option, and I don't know what the best value would be for my equipment. I would also like to know what the options to optimize VRAM for videos and images are for.

By default it appears 256mb but with that value I had crash problems, so I lowered it to 90 - 100mb and for now it no longer crashes, but I don't understand why, I thought that the higher the value, the better, but that's it opposite.

I have searched the internet, but no one knows how to explain exactly what these VRAM options are for, can someone explain what they are and what exactly they are for?

How can we know or calculate what would be the best value for our machine?

Thank you all very much.
