I just got a popup telling me that this extension has been disabled because it contains malware.

Same here. If you go through the (well written) code there is a section that barbushin documented with "Execute PHP code with some security & accessibility tweaks". I bet some Chromium guidelines changed and now we have a false positive malware. Let's see what barbushin says.
