[REQUEST] Light/Dark Mouse Cursor Theme

It would be good to have an option to change the cursor for those that would like varying between light and dark themes.

Won't fix, reason for this is listed here.

A previous unreleased version of Koi had this functionality, but because various different applications are so inconsistent about recognising that a new cursor is being used I dropped support for it. Until I can find a way that makes all applications recognise the new icon theme immediately, I will not consider adding back support for this.

There is a terminal command for changing icons through out plasma it is

/usr/lib/plasma-changeicons "nameof the icon theme". including double quote

Like to change to papirus you type

/usr/lib/plasma-changeicons "Paprus"

It gets the icon name from
/usr/share/icons/
and ~/. local/share/icons/

it wasn't added to path so you have to call it manually

Yes I know, it is, in fact, how Koi changes icons. This is however for changing the icon theme, and not the cursor theme.

Is the difficulty of implementing the mouse cursor still present in 2023, in the latest KDE Plasma ?_?

I am asking because I would welcome it too and there are not really many options for mouse cursor theming installed by default:

• Adwaita
• Breeze light
• Breeze (dark)
