Spring 2015 Special Issues

Valentines Day (2/12)

The Badger Herald gives campus the opportunity to write a note to their valentines in print and online. This special edition, paired with our Herald Valentines Day campaign, will draw even more readers to our pages, both in print and at badgerherald.com, as student look to see if that special someone left them a note.

Student Choice (3/12)

The Badger Herald gets the campus involved giving students the opportunity to cast their votes on their favorites, bars, restaurants, coffee shops, study spots and more. Student Choice features the local businesses and venues that have won the hearts of the campus community in a special edition, including reviews and photos.

Spring Break (3/23)

As students plan out their vacations, The Badger Herald offers the campus community suggestions, information and tips on how to have a fun and relaxing spring break. With reviews on where to go and what to do, this special edition serves as students’ definitive guide to having the perfect mid-semester hiatus.

Dirty Bird (4/6)

If the The Daily Cardinal and the Onion had a baby it would be The Badger Herald’s The Dirty Bird, a parody publication that puts a humorous spin on campus, city and state stories for April Fools’ Day. This special edition draws in the campus community for a funny and satirical take on the news.

Mifflin/Revelry Preview (4/30)

University of Wisconsin’s spring fling used to draw students to Mifflin Street, but now the festivities seem to be both on campus, at the university-sponsored festival Revelry, and around town. At the end of April, students will be turning to The Badger Herald’s Revelry and Mifflin Street Block Party preview to find out what will be happening this year’s party-weekend.

Spring Diversions (5/7)

With finals on everybody’s mind, The Badger Herald’s Diversions edition gives students the incentive to turn to The Badger Herald for some much needed distraction. A collection of games, puzzles and Shoutouts, Diversions offers a welcomed break from the stress of end-of-term exams.
