  • Remove things you no longer use.
  • definitely remove plugins that you have kept in an experiment but never used
  • get rid of bloat plugins
  • choose color scheme. remove comments related to other color schemes.
  • make a clear distinction between neovim specific features
  • understand the plugins you use
  • take a look at other people's dotfiles to see how they are using a specific plugin
  • add some utility to check startup time
  • Take time out to rewrite the whole config step by step.
  • decide on folder names and folder structure as per your own understanding & liking
  • Move things to proper locations
